Aktuell (2011) wird eine Hochgeschwindigkeitsstrecke entlang der Küste von Fuzhou über Xiamen bis nach Guangzhou errichtet.

Fujian besitzt sechs große Seehäfen, geordnet nach ihrem Umschlag sind dies Xiamen, Fuzhou, Quanzhou, Zhangzhou, Saiqi und Hanjiang.

Located on the western coast of the Taiwan straits, Fuzhou proves to be a land of promise. For investment, it is located in an economic zone and for residency it has the status of a capital city.
Nature has provided Fuzhou with an abundance of hot springs and greenery. It's a city full of vitality and a city always ready for a bloom of miracles.
Blessed with profound cultural accumulations, Fuzhou started the education of temple schools and colleges as early as in the Tang Dynasty, when the famous Chinese writer Han Yu argues that the cultural level of Fuzhou would not pale even when compared with the capital ——Chang'an (the capital of China in the Tang Dynasty).
Since the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Fuzhou has become the gathering place for cultural exchanges between the East and the West. Many great figures in modern times were born in Fuzhou, such as the first person "Looking into the outside world"—— Lin Tse-hsu, great thinker for modern enlightenment Yan Fu, famous writer Bin Xin and the initiator of Mawei ship affairs Shen Baozhen.
The birthplace for the navy and shipbuilding industry in China, where the early famous admirals of excellence were  trained.

Vor mehr als 1.000 Jahren wurde ein schönes Mädchen mit dem Namen Lin Mu am Xianliang Hafen von Meizhou Bay in Putian, Provinz Fujian geboren. Clever, mutig und gutherzig, konnte Lin Mu das Wetter vorhersagen und war glücklich, Fischern in Seenot zu helfen. Sie ermutigte die Menschen, die Natur zu besiegen und das Böse zu besiegen, so war sie sehr geliebt und geschätzt von den Menschen in ihrer Heimatstadt. Leider starb sie einen frühen Tod mit nur 28. Wie die Legende geht, stieg sie in den Himmel und wurde unsterblich in Meizhou Bay gegenüber der Xianliang Port.

Pure Brightness Day falls around April 5th every year. Traditionally, this is an occasion for people to offer sacrifices to their ancestors.
  Dragon Boat Festival
It is generally believed that this festival originated to honor the memory of the patriotic poet Qu Yuan, who lived in the State of Chu during the Warring States Period. In despair at not being able to halt the decline of his country, he drowned himself in the Miluo River in modern Hunan Province on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month after the capital of Chu fell to the State of Qin in 278 B.C. Legend has it that after Qu Yuan's death people living on the banks of the river went out in their boats to try to find the corpse. Every year thereafter, on this day people would row their boats out onto their local river, throwing sections of bamboo filled with rice into the water as an offering to him. Today, the memory of Qu Yuan lives on, zongzi (pyramid-shaped dumplings made by wrapping glutinous rice in bamboo leaves) remains the traditional food and dragon-boat races are held.

The festival is on the 15th day of the eighth month in the Chinese lunar calendar. In Xiamen, Zhangzhou, Quanzhou and Jinmen, the festival is also called Zhuangyuan Festival.
  Double Ninth Festival
This festival falls on the ninth day of the ninth lunar month. According to Chinese tradition, the ninth day is an auspicious day; and the ninth day of the ninth lunar month is the most auspicious day. On this day, the Chinese people customarily ascend a hill, eat cakes, drink wine and admire chrysanthemums.
